READ THIS INFORMATION BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS FOR SWORN TRANSLATION
  • Sworn translations are subject to regulations specified in Ordinance of the Minister of Justice of 25th November 2004.
  • In the light of the law sworn translations are documents, therefore any alterations thereof are illegal.
  • Calculated page of a sworn translation comprises of 1125 characters (letters, numbers, punctuation marks and spaces). Incomplete pages are counted as complete.
  • Duplicates of sworn translations are available upon additional charge.
  • We can also certify translations prepared by customers.
  • Before you bring any educational documents (certificates, diplomas) for translation, please make sure that they are certified by a competent authority. Primary, junior high and high school diplomas are certified by relevant departments of schools (Warsaw - al. Jerozolimskie 32 tel.: 826 64 91) – this excludes medical schools, as medical school diplomas are subject to certification by the Ministry of Health(ul. Miodowa 15, 00-952 Warsaw tel.: (022) 634 96 00).
  • University diplomas are certified by the Ministry of National Education , doctors’ diplomas are certified by the Ministry of Health , art school diplomas are certified by the Ministry of Culture Krakowskie Przedmiecie 15/17, 00-071 Warsaw, tel.: +48 (22) 421-01-00 fax: +48 (22) 826-91-48), while PhDs are certified by the Polish academy of Sciences (tel.: (+48 22) 656 64 34, 620 33 54, fax (+48 22) 624 85 93).
  • Most countries require sworn translations to be certified by the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Warsaw, ul. Tyniecka 15/17 – opening hours 9 AM to 1 PM), and then by a a diplomatic post of the concerned country.
  • ID cards are not translated. To prove your residential address you need to provide certificate of residential registration from your local registry office.
  • If you need make a statement in a foreign language, first prepare it in Polish, sign it before a notary, and then have it translated into the desired language together with the notarial certification clause.
  • Contracts delivered for sworn translation must be signed by at least one party. Otherwise they will be translated as a regular text – and not a document. Translation of a unilaterally signed contract is a document, and therefore no alterations or notes can be made on it (e.g. it cannot be signed by the other party to the contract).
  • A Sworn translation ceases to be a document, if any amendments are implemented in te original document.
  • If you need a sworn translation you will need to produce original document, at the latest on the day you collect your translation. Otherwise your translation will contain a note that it was made based on a copy.
